" Dare you to stand alone."
Thomas S. Monson
You will always be surrounded by bad things or bad people. However, it's up to you if you want to follow the crowd or stand on your own. This is why Thomas S. Monson wrote this quote for people to never follow the crowd but to follow what's right. In life you will be surrounded by people who do drugs, steal, lie and cheat. Since there will be people like that in the world it's up to you to stand on your own and say I won't be like that; just because everyone else is doing it doesn't mean that it's the right thing to do it means that people need help in realizing what is the right choice. Thomas S. Monson is right; you should stand alone and do the right thing at all times.

Rachel Castillo
It's amazing to know that there are still good people out in the world willing to always do the right thing. Rachel Castillo found more than $36,000 in a bench with a ID inside of a 76 year old man. Instead of taking that money and using it to pay rent or buy herself a new car what she ended up doing was reporting it to the police office. Even though the young lady didn't get any reward for turning the money she said that the reward will come from a grader power. People that think in that sort of way always turn out to be good because they always choose to do the right thing. Rachel is a great example to what people should do and not listen to there own needs. Doing the right thing will never bring bad things. Even if you feel that you might regret doing the right thing like for example returning the money you need to realize that that person might need it more than you do and that at the end you will feel so much better because without even realizing it you might have changed a person life in returning the money back.

Fifteen Year old CTR
Tana had just lost her husband, she went to the cemetery to visit her him because he had only two weeks of passing away. Even though that she had just lost someone so special to her an older man didn't seem to care because he stole her purse that had $700. How can a man be heartless to an older lady and do that do her? Gratefully he eventually got caught by the cops and his face was showed in the news. So his son christian saw that his father had once again committed a big crime and realized that maybe the money he had gave him for his band trip was probably the money that he had stolen from the old lady. Christian had a big heart contacted the lady and apologized for what his father had done and even though he wanted to go to the camping trip he gave back the money to her because he knew that was the right thing to do. But as always when you do good, good things come back to you; the lady told him to keep it. It's a nice feeling to know that even though your parents, friends or other family members are choosing the wrong but that kids are seeing that that's not the way to go. As how christian said " just because your parents are a certain way that does not mean you will turn out and have to be like them". At the end of the day Christian was able to walk home feeling nothing but happiness in his heart for letting the old lady know that there are still good people out there. Always do the right thing and never let other people choose that for you.

"Be cool in school- live every rule."
Mr.Haymore
Being cool in school doesn't necessarily mean you're cool because you are breaking the rules or because everyone knows you. This quote is stating that you should be cool by following all the rules that are given. You can't seem cool if you're breaking all the rules and being disobedient. In a teachers point of view or any adult if they see a student who can't seem to follow the rules, is always late to class never doing his work and ditching school they aren't going to think you are cool they're going to think you are a fool. Maybe you want to look cool with your friends but what good will that do if your choosing the wrong path.

" A CTR champion is a person who makes a great human out of himself."
Noemi Trigueros
Always choose the right no matter what the decision might be. You can never go wrong if you do the right thing. Things are much easier then when you choose the wrong because you won't have to worry about any consequences are bad things happening to you. For example if you decide to lie to whoever it's going to affect you because you will not only lie once but you will continue to lie to cover up the first lie. It's unfortunate but true, that's why always choose what is best and never choose the wrong.

Reggie Bush
The ultimate best football player that had ever played in college football went from fame in one day to being nothing but dirt on the floor. Reggie Bush had it all, the fame, the money, the love of fans and the athletic skills to be top of top football players. It's unfortunate how such talent was lost because he couldn't stay loyal and trustworthy. According to records he cheating in the last few games he was playing for USC but it never really explains exactly what did he do to be kicked out of the football league for good and having to lose every trophy he once won. That's the reason why you should never choose the wrong because if you do everything will get lost. Maybe you might get away with it in that time but eventually it will all come back to haunt you. It's a sad story to tell. I feel really bad for him because of all that hard work he put in his team came all crumbling down.

"The more obedient we are, the more freedom we have."
Boyd K. Packer
As Boyd K. Packer said "the more obedient we are the more freedom we have". His very true about that because obedience not only comes from when you follow directions from your parents but a lot within teachers and in your community. For example if you are obedient when your parents tell you that you could only be out with you friends in a certain time and you follow the directions your parents will start letting you out more with trust because they know that if they ever say a time you will follow directions and be obedient. Not only does it work with people but also with teachers, if you listen to the directions and follow them teachers never give you a hard time because they know they don't have to waste time in telling you what you have to do. You'll have more freedom because they will know you would get your work done. That's why always choose the right because you will bring you nothing but good things.

Choose The Right!
Obedience: The practice of obeying a law or rule, or of doing something according to a tradition. Is a human behavior, is a form of social influence in which a person follows instructions or orders from another person. For example, in a situation when one orders a person to kill another innocent person and he or she does so willingly or something not so serious as that when your parents tell you to clean your room and you do as they say that is obedience. It doesnt have to be a person following the directions of another person it can also be you giving directions to your pet animal and they will fellow.

Student Success Statement
"Real wealth is not so much what we have as what we are."
Sterling W. Sill
In life money isn't everything. Sterling W. Sill makes a strong point by pointing out that just because you might be wealthy in life that that makes you a better person than someone who isn't as fortunate. Being wealthy as what you are means what kind of person you are. If you have all the money in the world but you're a cruel and selfish person nobodys going to see you as a good person. For example if you have a person who isn't as wealthy but is generous and kind of course he's going to be worth a lot more then the person with the money because at the end of the day money can only buy you happiness that won't last long or isn't real.
