                                   Clinical Manager


Duties and Responsibilities:Clinical managers, a type of medical and health services manager, work as managers in both administrative and medical capacities to ensure that the establishment for which they work runs smoothly. Clinical managers often work for doctors' offices, clinics, long-term care facilities, and outpatient facilities. Typical duties of a clinical manager include managing clinical, professional, administrative, and clerical staff; managing the recruitment, development of, and appraisal of staff; overseeing day-to-day management; developing and implementing policies and directives; setting and monitoring budgets; attending meetings; handling communications; and making purchasing decisions.


Salary:
$38,082 -$75,264 



Education: You'll need to have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a field like medical services administration or health care administration. Coursework in a relevant 4-year, bachelor degree program includes courses on health care law and ethics, healthcare financial management, organization and management in healthcare, information systems for health care, health care administration, and case management.





Reflection:  Clinical managers have a big important job to do. They are in charge of what is being done to make the life of the doctors and nurses easier. It says it in the name  manager. I had never heard of a career like this but putting thought to it it wouldn't seem like a bad idea to try it out. It's different and new to me and who knows maybe I might be pretty good at it considering I still can't find the perfect career for me. This career would be one i'll be willing to try.

                                              Biomedical Engineer



Duties and Responsibilities: Biomedical engineers combine biology, medicine, and engineering and use advanced knowledge of engineering and science to solve medical and health-related problems. Biomedical engineers design massive MRI machines along with the microscopic machines used in surgery. They research and develop prostheses, evaluate the use of artificial organs, and improve instrumentation used in hospitals and clinics.


Salary:$35,301-$64,528


Education: A bachelor's degree is the first step for engineers because most careers in the field require the degree as an entry level requirement. Biomedical engineers often combine formal training in mechanical and electronics engineering with focused biomedical training to operate confidently in the field. Unlike many engineering fields, many entry-level biomedical engineers hold a master's degree.Some schools provide undergraduate degrees in biomedical engineering and typical coursework includes instruction in neural engineering fundamentals; biofluid mechanics; engineering electrophysiology; diagnostic imaging physics; and drug design, development, and delivery.





Reflection:  From the beginning I knew that being a Biomedical Engineer wouldn't be the career for me the title of it said it all. If I knew I was good in biology or anything related to science then maybe yes I would take it into consideration. But I know I'm not and I rather not struggle with it. I rather study something I'm good at and that i'll actually enjoy doing. I like a challenge but when I'm willing to put the effort in it and with this career I highly doubt I want to do it.
